Olympic Figure Skater Patrick Chan

Canadian figure skater Patrick Chan took part in and placed first in mens senior program at the World Figure Skating Championships held in Ottawa securing his place on the Canadian Olympic team heading to Russia. I spent four days shooting both the action on ice and some behind the scenes. Despite the screaming fans (young and old) Chan seemed unfazed by the expectations placed on him by his Country who expect nothing less than a golf medal performance at the upcoming 2014 Olympic Games in Sochii.

Patrick Chan even took time after the competition to surprise Chan-fan Emilie Dagenais with a backstage tour. Dagenais, a young figure skater who is battling cancer for the fourth time, was very emotional during their time together.

Acadia Axemen v. Carleton Ravens

I shot my first game of basketball in two years tonight, in preparation for tomorrows Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) mens basketball championships in Ottawa. The Acadian Axemen were defeated by the Carleton Ravens.

Blue Jays v. Parliament Hill

So, I left my phone in the rotunda in centre block on Parliament Hill after filing a photo and when I went back to get it I saw this happening. I can only assume that the suit is highly flammable.

Ferrari Magazine | The Portraits

This is part 3 of a 3 part blog series about a killer assignment I shot for Ferrari Magazine this summer. This is the man behind the wheel and Canadian fashion mogul – Lawrence Stroll. He was gracious with his time and very accommodating throughout the day. I have never seen a father look so proud of their son as when Lawrence was watching his boy rip around the track in miniature Ferrari F1-style car for the first time.  Click here to check out the behind the scenes video and photos. Click here to see all five cars in action.

Ferrari Magazine | Behind the Scenes

This is part 1 of a 3 part blog series about a killer assignment I shot for Ferrari Magazine this summer. I had the amazing opportunity to shoot some of the rarest cars in the world at Le Circuit in Mont Tremblant this summer – 5 cars worth approximately $100-million combined. I packed up every piece of equipment I owned, along with my assistant Neville Black and videographer James Park, and shot the coolest assignment of my career. Stay tuned for the portraits and the cars!

Dudes, I haven’t shot basketball in a year. I just finished shooting the semi-final round of the CIS mens championships. The finals are tomorrow. Here is my favorite frame from the day. Now home to the baby.
